The 2024 International Hairdressing Awards’ winners announced during the world tour

Cos Sakkas, Efi Davies, Sam Elliot, Carlos Valiente & Bernat Sayol, Toni & Guy Artistic Team and the movie 'Barbie' are the winners of the 2024 International Hairdressing Awards and will collect their awards on April 29th at the awards ceremony in Lisbon (Portugal)

The australian hairdresser Sharon Blain has been recognized with the International Hair Legend of the Year award while the International Hair Influencer of the Year award, which recognizes the positive influence and impact in the industry and beyond, goes to Ken Paves

The 2024 International Hairdressing Awards’ winners have been announced during the IHA World Tour that the International Hairdressing Awards have done from March 10th to 20th. The winners in the eight categories have been revealed personally and by surprise by Mikel Luzea, IHA director and founder, and Sergi Bancells, global ambassador of the awards. Both have been travelling to announce personally the awards to the winners, and the annoucements have been streamed live via Instagram on @ihawards

The winners in the Best International Women’s Commercial Collection are Carlos Valiente & Bernat Sayol, from Salones Carlos Valiente (Spain). The award in Best International Men’s Commercial Collection goes to Sam Elliot (UK). The Best International Avant-Garde Collection award is for Efi Davies (UK). The winner team in the category of International Artistic Team of the Year is Toni&Guy Artistic Team (UK). In the International Film & TV Hairdresser of the Year category, the winners are Ivana Primorac, Marie Larkin and Clare Corsick for their hairdressing work in the movie ‘Barbie’. And last but not least, the British hairdresser Cos Sakkas, has been crowned International Hairdresser of the Year for the third year in a row.

Also, Australian hairdresser Sharon Blain has been recognized with the International Hair Legend of the Year honor award, being the sixth hairdresser awarded with this honorific award, for his career in the profession and for being an indisputable reference for professionals from all over the world. For fifth year, the organization of the International Hairdressing Awards presents the International Hair Influencer of the Year award, which recognizes positive influence and impact in the industry and beyond, and has been awarded to Ken Paves.

After this world tour, the winners are invited to attend the great night of the hairdressing industry in Lisbon, on April 29th, where the International Hairdressing Awards®’ evening will consist again of a purple carpet -the red carpet of global hairdressing-, a catwalk with the most important hairdressing teams of the world, and the awards ceremony, where all the winners will be crowned.

The sixth year

In its sixth year, participation has registered great figures: almost 500 collections from 32 different countries have entered to participate with their photographic work in the categories of Best International Women’s Collection, Best International Men’s Collection and Best International Avant-Garde Collection. In addition, the hairdressers and artistic teams that had been shortlisted to participate in the categories of International Hairdresser of the Year and International Artistic Team of the Year were invited to submit their applications, consisting of a photographic collection and a dossier summarizing their professional career in the last year.
