The date of International Hairdressing Awards® first edition has been finally unveiled: 3rd February 2019 is the chosen day for the great night of global hairdressing, the awards where all the existing awards will converge, powered by hairdressers. The International Hairdressing Awards®’ evening will consist of a catwalk with the most important teams of the world, a purple carpet -the red carpet of global hairdressing-, and the awards ceremony, where the six winners will be crowned.
The first competition of the International Hairdressing Awards® is about to start with the collections entries, from 15th June to 3th September 2018. Two categories need a prenomination to participate: International Hairdresser of the Year and International Artistic Team of the Year. The pre-nominated shortlist of hairdressers for International Hairdresser of the Year and for International Artistic Team of the Year will be announced on 11th June. Once the entry period closes, the judges will vote the participating collections and on 28th September 2018, the finalists and the Honorary Award will be announced at Salon Look Madrid, where a gallery with the finalists’ collections will be presented.
The aim of these new awards is to become the event of reference in global hairdressing industry. Mikel Luzea, founder and director of the International Hairdressing Awards®, was in charge of launching this powerful venture last year within the framework of Salón Look 2017. The International Hairdressing Awards are an independent beauty organization that has been supported since its inception by sponsors of international relevance who believe in the message and mission of these awards including Revlon, Revlon Professional® and Salon Look Madrid-Ifema. The three highly regarded firms have bet high and combined forces to make this contest an international success as well as, Estetica Magazine as global media partner, with 24 editions worldwide, which will cover and aid in the efforts of this amazing event.
